The R2R shirt is a shirt we created on the 155th ABCT Deployment to the Middle East in 2018. It stands for Ruck to Remember. Every Wednesday when a few 5th Squad members were deployed to the Middle East, they would join a group of soldiers to Ruck march a 5k in honor of the 82 Service Members from Mississippi that lost their lives in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Our country has lost so many Service members in the War on Terrorism that we often become numb to the loss of another, and we tend to “forget”. This event is to help remember our lost and honor their ultimate sacrifice.
