To be different and set apart from other veteran organizations
The 5th Squad began with 4 soldiers over an idea of keeping the camaraderie outside of the workplace. The bond of servicemen is created over time with common interests. We found that we all had a desire and passion to do more than just what the flag called for.
Since then we have sought out other veterans with the same mindset. We have several fundraisers that we do annually. Our main event is our Ruck for Rugrats, which is a toy drive combined with a 7.5 mile ruck March. We also do several other events throughout the year to raise money for our greatest vision which is to help veterans in need.
Our greatest passion is to help veterans get off the street and back on their feet. All our funds are donated and go right back into assisting the veterans. We want to be able to provide immediate assistance to a veteran without all the red tape of larger organizations.
